Greens condemn abolition of EMA

Local Green Councillor Jillian Creasy spoke out today against the abolition of the Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA).  She said, “Young people will suffer because of education and job cuts. Research published today indicates that 7 out of 10 teenagers from less well-off families will drop out of education if the EMA is scrapped.”

The local Greens took part in the protest at Sheffield Town Hall against EMA abolition today, Wednesday, 19th January.
