Green Party Councillor and local doctor Jillian Creasy took part in the Sheffield Save our NHS (SSoNHS) protest in the city centre earlier this week, to encourage the public to support the NHS.
Jillian said “I was very pleased to be able to take part in the SSoNHS rally against NHS privatisation and patient charging. Unlike Labour and the Lib Dems, we’ve always opposed NHS privatisation. We have campaigned actively against the current Government’s health policies, which will mean even more cuts, privatisation and charging for treatment.”
She added “The Sheffield NHS walk-in centre has now stopped charging patients with whiplash injuries. We can keep the NHS that we want if lots of people show their support for it.”
