Green Councillor Rob Murphy has called on Sheffield Council to halt their proposed changes to early years services until there has been a proper consultation. He has submitted an amendment to the Labour Cabinet member’s motion for the 6th February Council meeting, proposing that the Council should set aside its current proposals and properly consult with local communities.
Rob Murphy commented “Children’s early years are crucial for their future life. The Council’s spending cuts will risk serious harm. I hope all Sheffield councillors will support my proposal for a proper consultation before any changes are made.”
