The Tour De France is the world’s largest annual sporting event. 12 million people watch it live each year joining 3.5 billion watching on TV worldwide. On Sunday, narrow streets, sharp turns and gradients will make for a very challenging run in and finish to Stage 2 in Sheffield. Many people will be able to watch it free close to where they live. It will bring a massive amount of visitors to Sheffield and Yorkshire – 2 million watched the 2 UK stages in 2007. Let’s enjoy this sporting spectacle and showcase for our city.
