As a Directional Driller I’d like to point out an error in your Fracking article.
You say horizontal drilling can only be extended for 2 km which is incorrect. 7km is quite common and I believe the record is 11 km now. I used to regularly drill wells with 7km of horizontal section when I worked offshore Denmark in the North Sea.
