The Robin Hood Tax, or Tobin Tax, on banks would raise billions for a fraction of a percent tax on all bank transactions. This is to be used for development and safeguarding people’s welfare across the world.
The Tobin Tax has been in Green Party policy since 2002. Extending this as the Robin Hood Tax people suggest and spending the money on global development issues, including safeguarding our own public services, rights and welfare issues, is likely to be warmly welcomed by Green Party conference.
