Dear Editor
Communities Minister Greg Clark says “there is absolutely no forcing” on devolution and imposing an elected mayor. But, in his interview with the Star (July 11th), he keeps referring to local business and civic leaders needing to decide what they want. Not Sheffield people who voted 65% to 35% against having an elected mayor in 2012. Sheffield people should be properly consulted on devolution and the form it should take. A further referendum needs to be held before it is implemented. The 2012 results cannot be just brushed aside.
